      About Tadcaster

This is a market town and a civil parish that is located in the district of North Yorkshire. It has been the center of the brewing industry since the 18th century. Today, the breweries still exist, and the town has also become one of the best places to visit. Here are some of the places you should see when you’re in town.

St. Mary’s Church. This is one of the old market town’s primary buildings. The Church was made of white stone, and the building is perpendicular, which shows traces of the Norman work. Today, the exterior of the Church is brightened with graceful pinnacles and gargoyles. The visitors can also see many of the Church’s treasures and attractive modern works of wood.

Tadcaster Bridge. The bridge was built around the 1700s to change the previous bridge. It has had a crossing over the Wharfe since early 1200. The plan for the bridge must have been made up of wood originally. However, just like other bridges, it’s way better if it has a strong foundation. During the 17th century, the bridge and the areas around rang to the sound of The Battle of Tadcaster. It was when Parliamentarian troops had conflicts with the Royalists.
The Angel and White Horse. This is one of the most popular bars in the town of Tadcaster. Visitors love this bar because of what they serve. They serve budget-friendly beers, and the place is really large and well maintained inside. There is also a small courtyard where you can see horses. You can even take your drinks with you in the courtyard, where you can enjoy the views and surroundings.

ClayFever Ceramic Painting Studio. This is one of the best paint and pottery studios in the town of Tadcaster. This is a great place for those who have a passion for art, as this studio could let their creativity flow in an easy-going and fun atmosphere. You can paint and design and just leave it to them to fire it for you. They also cater for parties and events while being surrounded by the best painting.
