    About Redcar

This is a seaside town located in the Borough of Redcar. The town is known for its breathtaking landscapes, scenic beaches, and endless coastlines. Here are the places to visit when in the town of Redcar:

Redcar Beach. This is known for its firm sand and self-cleaning beach. It's a haven for water sports enthusiasts, and it comes with sweeping bays and dramatic sea cliffs. Each stretch of the beach gives something new, and it also has a traditional seaside charm. Redcar Beach is indeed a diamond in the rough. You will be pleased by its clean sands, sea view, and changing tides.

Zetland Lifeboat Museum and Redcar Heritage Centre. This museum is known for its oldest surviving lifeboat in the world. It was built in 1802 by Henry Greathead just in his boatyard. They described this lifeboat as "non-submersible" because of its cork fitted externally beneath the gunnels and the thwarts to the deck. It's a Grade 2 listed building that later became a museum, which also displays the Zetland. It showcases her story, together with the maritime history, the lifeboats, and the fishing heritage and characters.
Redcar Racecourse. This racecourse offers 18 days of horse racing from March to November. The place is unique, and the atmosphere is very nice. It's coupled with useful facilities, and it guarantees that everyone will have a memorable day out. Visiting the racecourse is a perfect way to celebrate special events, whether it's with friends or family. Families are very much welcome, and the admission of children 17 years and below are free. It's a great place to have fun and enjoy the race.

Redcar Flowrider. This FlowRider takes into all aspects when it comes to board sports. It looks like surfing, but the snowboard ride comes with tricks of skateboarding. It's truly a fun activity, and it offers an ideal activity for both adults and children, even if watching those on the board are impressive and great.
