    About Whitby

    The town of Whitby is known for its successful whaling industry. They have this Whitby Whaling Company that remained on their first trip to Greenland. Whitby is also known for its mineral, maritime, and tourist heritage.

    Whitby Kiln. This is an art studio with Paint Your Own Pottery. It is located in the well-known seaside town of Whitby that is close to the North York Moors. This art studio offers a fun and very relaxing space for everyone's creativity. Anyone who has passion for art would enjoy being in this place.

    Whitby Abbey. This has been inspiring the place to visitors for almost 1,500 years. The abbey is settled just at the top of the 199 steps. You can witness the footsteps of artists, religious leaders, and writers. You may also explore the gothic ruins and stunning views of the sea. They also uncover the history as they have an interactive guide. There is a revamp museum as well where the Caedmon would be discovered.
    Whitby Museum. This museum always maintains a kind of Edwardian Atmosphere. They have very interesting collections - from jets, great fossils, stuffed birds, animals, and artifacts from local life. There's also a small art gallery which is free to pass. Their displays are placed in an old wooden cabinet to ensure everything is safe. Furthermore, they too have a nice cafe downstairs that serves lovely cakes and coffee and even meals.

    Falling Foss Tea Garden and Waterfall. This garden seasonally opens from April to September. The garden is known for its beautiful scenery with its varied terrain. There's a cafe that serves tasty food and is known for its very affordable prices. The cafe also serves tasty sandwiches to fuel up your walk. It's where school outings and family picnics were held because the area is ideal for relaxing and walking.
