Did a great job!
We contacted ADI after Thames Water had made three attempts at fixing our main leak - none of which was successful. The engineers, James and Vince, did a great job at detecting the leak and then coming back to fix it a couple of days later. They were really careful with our paving and left everything tidy at the end of the day. We had a bit of an admin glitch which was very efficiently sorted out by Abs - a big thank you Abs for your professionalism.

A job well done
A job well done. The engineers, Kristof, Gabor and Vincent, turned up when expected and made sure excavated areas were made safe before they left. It was a 3-day job and I was kept informed throughout. They were efficient and respectful and everything was made good at the end. A thank you too to Dave in the office for his efforts.

Excellent job in difficult situation
We had a leak in our main water pipe in very heavy clay and very close to several large oak trees and our incoming gas pipe. Digging was therefore extremely difficult and complicated. Mark & Vince worked hard (to about 9pm day 1) and carefully to install a new pipe navigating around large roots and the gas pipe and cleared up afterwards. First class job!!

External mains water supply leak
We had an external mains water supply leak with no idea where the break was. Vincent the engineer turned up as arranged, and used specialist equipment to detect the most likely point of the leak, which turned out to be situated under a concrete drive. It turned out to be absolutely pinpoint accurate, only requiring a small hole to fix the problem. Saved us a huge amount of time and work.

Mark & Vince Thank you
Happy faces Mark & Vince, Thank you . I am very satisfied with the work done by you guys. We had a water pipe leakage outside the property and water meter was spinning fast due to this leakage , no hot water . Couple of guys came , suggested many ways but at last the leakage issue handed to these two hard working , dedicated n professional Gentlemen. They examined, installed new water pipe and fixed the problem same day with their smiling faces . Hot water is a luxury and you guys gave us a relief after 10 days of struggle to get hot water. We really appreciate your hard work. It’s done so perfectly. I would definitely recommend them in future if any water leaking issue arrises . A big thank you Mark & Vince.

These guys did a fantastic job.
These guys (adam and vince) did a fanastc job of finding and fixing a burst mains pipe underneath the floor, inside the house. Whilst they had to use a nematic driller/hammer to get to the issue. They did with minimal damage, and I'm amazed they manged to locate it so well. Started 9:30. Fonished by 3:30. Thanks.

We had a leak under our garage floor
We had a leak under our garage floor, which was too deep to reach and fix. New pipes had to be laid under different locations around the house to reach the mains. Vince and Mark did an excellent job of determining where the pipes could go and then pushing them through using a "mole". They worked efficiently and put in long hours when they needed to finish a certain leg of the work. Due to their efforts the work took fewer days than we had feared. Many thanks for all the hard work.

Pool leak
Matt and Vince arrived to find our pool leak and methodically went through the history and symptoms of the issue. They then completed a series of pressure tests and identified the issue where previous companies had failed. On a cold day with a less than perfect pool water condition (down to us) they were professional and engaging on the fault found and the way forward. Would be happy to recommend and use them again if we need to.

Two great guys. We have been struggling for weeks with…
We have been struggling for weeks with a water pipe leak under our lounge. Due to asbestos in the floor tiles we decided to have the pipe rerouted round the house. Connor and Vince came to carry out the work and we were delighted. They were friendly, helpful, hardworking and efficient. We can't fault them. They completed it all in two days just in time for Christmas. We can't recommend them highly enough. Thankyou.

First class service.We're totally impressed.
We realised that we had a leak under the floor in the kitchen area but we weren't sure exactly where. After calling several companies who either couldn't do the job or could only do it in one to two weeks time,I came across ADI online. They said they could send someone the following morning. The engineer Vince arrived promptly and found and repaired the leak. He was polite, friendly and very thorough and efficient. We are most impressed and will definitely recommend ADI.

Thanks Mark and Vincent! 100% recommend!
Mark and Vince were super - they performed a trace and access to identify the exact location of the leak without any unnecessary drilling and it was immediately clear they knew their stuff. New pipes were installed smoothly without any disruption and the report for the insurers was clear and through ensuring a simple and efficient claim process. Appreciate being kept up to date on the status of the trace and access and the repair throughout. Completely professional service, would 100% recommend. Thanks!
Vincent started in plumbing and heating before moving into leak detection, building 25 years of hands-on plumbing and heating experience alongside 14 years focused on finding hidden leaks. He is ADI's go-to engineer for water mains work, including full mains replacement on buried supply pipes, having spent 11 years in that role at ADI. When he arrives on a job, he draws on whichever combination of equipment best suits the situation, whether that is acoustic listening for a central heating leak inside a property or tracer gas to locate a fracture buried deep underground.
Vincent selects equipment based on the leak type. Acoustic listening equipment picks up the noise of escaping water through floors, walls, or buried ground. Thermal imaging identifies temperature differences that indicate moisture. Tracer gas traces fractures in enclosed or underground pipes. Leak correlation narrows down the position of a fault along a buried run, and borescope cameras allow him to inspect inside cavities without opening them up.
What experience and qualifications does Vincent have?
Vincent has 25 years in plumbing and heating, 14 years in leak detection, 11 years in water mains replacement, and 11 years as a senior water mains leak detection engineer at ADI. He holds an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and is a Thames Water Approved Plumber.

Vincent works on residential homes, commercial buildings, and properties with more complex or ageing pipework. He handles internal leaks in central heating systems, underfloor heating circuits, and bathroom plumbing, as well as underground supply pipes where full mains replacement may be required.
When should you call Vincent for leak detection?
If you have unexplained damp patches, a rising water bill, a loss of pressure in your central heating or water supply, or visible signs of moisture near floors or walls, an investigation is worth booking promptly. Call ADI Leak Detection on 0800 731 3843 to arrange a visit — ADI will aim to assign Vincent where he is available in your area.
How Vincent finds your leak
Vincent follows a consistent five-stage process on every visit. The approach is non-invasive and designed to isolate the fault before any disruption to your property.
Initial assessment. Review symptoms with the customer, check visible evidence, and identify the most likely system involved.
Selection of the right detection method. Pick the combination of thermal imaging, tracer gas, acoustic listening, or moisture mapping most likely to isolate the fault.
Non-invasive testing. Run the chosen method across the candidate area — no excavation or destructive investigation until the leak is confirmed.
Leak confirmation. Cross-verify the finding with a second method where possible, mark the exact location, and document the evidence.
Reporting and next steps. Provide a written report, photographs, and recommended repair options.
