About Lincolnshire

This is a county known for its long coastline on the North Sea to East that is located in the East Midlands of England. It is popular for its windmills and unique sails. Tourists also visit in the summer because of Lincolnshire’s resorts. Here are the places to visit in this county.

Lincoln Cathedral. Known as the most precious church architecture in the British Isles, the Lincoln Cathedral is still being maintained after almost 300 years. It’s filled with intricate details everywhere you look. From the roofs, walls, it truly elaborates the finest carving.

After the earthquake in the 12th century, the cathedral was restored by Hugh of Avalon. This is one of the only 4 cathedrals that exist today, and millions of people will always come to this place of prayer, holiness, and pilgrimage. It is also the one that bears the name of the city.
Lincoln Castle. Lincoln Castle has three great attractions; the Medieval Wall Walk, One great day out, and the Victorian Prison. Visitors can always enjoy stunning views in Lincolnshire when they try and complete the Medieval Wall Walk. There is also the famous Magna Carta Vault while witnessing the Charter of the forest alongside. Furthermore, there is also a unique separate system chapel that is about 1000 years of history.

Natureland Seal Sanctuary. Awarded as the “Best Skegness Attraction in 2015” and the “Best Business 2015”, Natureland gives us many lessons. It is known for rehabilitating and rescuing injured and orphaned seal pups stranded on beaches in Lincolnshire. Visitors can witness the seals and other wonderful animals like meerkats, penguins, tropical birds, and more. They also have gift shops, and they serve refreshments to visitors.

Museum of Lincolnshire Life. This museum has been known to celebrate the Lincolnshire culture from 1750 to the present. It displays the domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and community life and is built in the Victorian barracks. The museum contains almost 250,000 objects, which include the authentic World War Tank. It also has interactive galleries of the Royal Regiment, which will be very educational to visitors and even the locals.
