About Whaley Bridge

This town is known as the “Gateway to the Goyt Valley.” It is located at the head of the stunning Peak Forest Canal. It is a great place for wildlife watching and walking, and it offers calm walks with lots of cafes, shops, restaurants, and pubs. Here are the best places to visit on Whaley Bridge.

Goyt Valley. The Goyt Valley is part of the Peak District National Park and lies just outside Buxton. This valley has been a famous destination for walkers, strollers, and walkers ever since Victorian times.

There is also a vast array of routes for walking, with too many options available. Not only that, the Goyt Valley gives visitors stunning views of the Errwood Reservoir. It’s going to be a perfect location for adventurous people in the Peak District.
Bugsworth Basin. The Bugsworth Basin is located on the Peak Forest Canal, and it’s just close to the Whaley Bridge town. It was once the busiest and largest inland port on the narrow canal system and the only one surviving. Today, it’s popular with boaters and truly a great place to begin a country walk and adventure.

Goyt Inn. This good old-fashioned boozer is one of the local’s favorites. The location is just opposite the Whaley Bridge station and just halfway between the road. They serve guest beers and different gins, and even whisky sometimes. It may be far from other popular pubs, but many visitors would still try it. The atmosphere is very friendly, and everyone in the pub mixes.

Naze View Farm Alpaca Experience. This farm is a smallholding in the Peak District that carries out accommodation and alpaca experience. Visiting the Naze View Farm is very great for adults and children. They’re going to enjoy the experience of feeding the alpacas and cuddle with them.
