Lovely team.
James and Danny were here on time and spent hours trying to find our leak. They have to come back as they needed more (longer) camera equipment as the job was more complicated than we all thought. They were polite and down to earth and knew their stuff.

Danny arrived promptly to deal with a leak which Anglian Water, after very brief visit, claimed was our responsibility. Danny explained clearly the procedure and worked methodically to solve some complex issues. He did not rush, was thorough and professional. Eventually he had to dig deep next to the meter and solved the issue.: this does not reflect well on Anglian Water. It took 6 hours.

Tricky swimming pool leak
Large pool losing water at a rate of knots. Adam and Danny established leak was in the return pipes, found the leak through gas tracing in a difficult to access location, sealed off the pipe from within the pool (with aid of diving gear) and managed to effect a complex repair the next day with minimal disruption

Excellent customer service
Adam and Danny were excellent in every respect . Turned up bang on time on 12th April , explained what they intended to do , informed me of what they found and how they intended to approach the repair . Their Report was comprehensive and informative . They returned as arranged on 16th May to effect the repair and were equally prompt ,helpful and informative . I would say their service was expensive but worth every penny to get the leak sorted once and for all . I could not be more satisfied .

ADI sent us two excellent water leak detectorists.
ADI sent us two excellent water leak detectorists - Danny and Darren - who spent the day at our rather large property trying to find the water leak. When found they did a superb job, fixed the leaking pipe, filled in the hole and tidied up. They explained what they were doing throughout in a knowledgeable and professional way. To be recommended.

I would recommend Danny and Mark again
I had a leak which was very difficult to locate despite all the fancy equipment. This was a second visit following Danny having been onsite for a full day prior. He determined that there was a leak on the hot water pipe but could convulsively confirm where it was. So I he had to come back with with a second engineer too. Both Danny and Mark (Jones) arrived on time and worked well as a team. They were open to talking me through their investigation stage by stage which I found helpful. They were both very knowledgeable and thankfully found the problem and fixed it. Although it was a second visit and therefore an extra days charge it was a tricky issue and despite them not being so excited about the job they stuck to it and fixed the issue. They even had to cut through a kitchen cupboard to get to an area where the pipe was running and did a very tidy job of that. They worked tirelessly throughout the day not even taking a proper lunch break. They also took time to tidy after themselves and also cover the holes they created. They also tested the system again and confirmed it’s all repaired ie no other defects in the pipework. Only issue was they couldn’t take the rubbish away (5 bags of rubble) so I’ve got to sort that out but they told me about that upfront. I would have appreciated it if, even for a charge, they would have taken that away with them. I would recommend ADI and in particular these two engineers again.

Fantastic service
I contacted ADI Pro leak regarding a leak under my floor, Dave explained what would be done, the equipment that would be used and what the cost would be. Dave managed to reschedule other works and fitted me in the following day. The engineer Danny that arrived was fantastic, he explained what he was doing to find the leak. After he found and fix the leak, he checked the system was working properly and there was no other leaks. The service I received from start to finish was excellent.
Danny has been working in the plumbing sector since 1986, starting out on new build installations before moving into boiler and heating specialism and eventually into leak detection. That background means he understands how systems are built from the ground up, which shapes how he reads a problem when a leak isn't immediately obvious. He covers a wide stretch of England, from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire down through Greater London and into Kent, Surrey, and the south coast counties. Whether the job is a domestic central heating system or a buried mains supply, he works through what the evidence is telling him before anything gets opened up.
Danny uses thermal imaging cameras to identify heat or moisture variation behind surfaces, helping to locate leaks without opening up walls or floors unnecessarily. Acoustic listening equipment is used to track sound signatures through floors and ground, which is especially useful on underground and buried pipe jobs. Tracer gas and moisture meters are brought in where those methods need further confirmation, giving a fuller picture before any repair work is scoped.
What experience and qualifications does Danny have?
Danny has 40 years in plumbing and heating engineering and 5 years in leak detection, having entered the sector in 1986 working on new builds before specialising in boilers and later moving into leak investigation. He holds City & Guilds qualifications in Plumbing Craft and Advanced Plumbing Craft. His PADI qualifications, including Rescue Diver and Dry Suit certifications, are particularly relevant to his swimming pool leak detection work.
What types of properties does Danny work on?
Danny works on domestic homes, including houses and flats with central heating, underfloor heating, or older pipework that can be difficult to trace. He also works on properties with swimming pools and on jobs involving underground supply pipes where the leak is outside the building. His experience across new build and existing housing stock means he can read a wide range of plumbing configurations without needing to make assumptions about how a system is laid out.
When should you call Danny for leak detection?
If your water bill has risen without explanation, you can hear running water when no taps are on, or you have damp patches appearing on floors, walls, or ceilings that your plumber hasn't been able to trace, a specialist investigation is the right next step. The same applies if you have a swimming pool losing water or a heating system that keeps losing pressure. Call ADI Leak Detection on 0800 731 3843 to book an investigation — ADI will aim to assign Danny where he is available in your area.
How Danny finds your leak
Danny follows a consistent five-stage process on every visit. The approach is non-invasive and designed to isolate the fault before any disruption to your property.
Initial assessment. Review symptoms with the customer, check visible evidence, and identify the most likely system involved.
Selection of the right detection method. Pick the combination of thermal imaging, tracer gas, acoustic listening, or moisture mapping most likely to isolate the fault.
Non-invasive testing. Run the chosen method across the candidate area — no excavation or destructive investigation until the leak is confirmed.
Leak confirmation. Cross-verify the finding with a second method where possible, mark the exact location, and document the evidence.
Reporting and next steps. Provide a written report, photographs, and recommended repair options.
