Thermal Imaging Cameras
These cameras use military-grade heat imaging systems to detect hot and cold patches hidden in your walls or floors, which 99% of the time indicated a leak. These cameras are extremely sensitive and give our engineers a very high level of accuracy when we’re carrying out an investigation.
Acoustic Leak Detectors
These state-of-the-art pieces of equipment are capable of detecting the sounds given off by a leaking pipe or mains up to 3 meters (9 feet) underground. So instead of having to dig holes hoping to find the leak our acoustic leak detectors track it down to within 2-inches of its source.
Gas Tracing
For the most difficult or tiny of leaks we can use a tracing gas and gas sniffers to detect it – the tracing gas is pumped into your heating system and our gas sniffers then detect it when it leaks out, again eliminating any guesswork in the process.
Leak Correlation
This latest addition to our leak detection armoury is perfectly suited to precisely tracing multiple leaks spread across a wide area. Individual sensors are placed at different points and our computer software then calculates the length of time it takes the leak “noise” to reach each sensor and gives us a precise location for the leak.
