    About Immingham

Immingham is a town located on the south bank of River Humber. This town has a rich history, and it was once famous for its grazing lands and pasture. Today, Immingham is known for its deep-water dock, which is the deepest in Europe. Check out these places to visit in town.

The Pilgrims Fathers Stone. Visiting this place is one way of remembering the men and women and even the children who died because of religious persecution. It’s also known as a memorial park with interesting local history.

It’s just near the Church, and the pure majesty of the stone makes it worth visiting. Furthermore, the park is very well kept and respected. You can even bring your kids to the park and educate them about what it is about.
Immingham Museum and Heritage. This museum tells a great story about the building of Immingham Docks. It was established in 1970 and built at the civic centre. It was opened by King George V in 1912, which also involved the Great Central Railway. It also features a little display that depicts the Pilgrim Separatists, who happened to escape the country of England from the town of Immingham in 1608.

St. Andrews Church Immingham. This Church is an ancient and the first known priest being Church recorded in 1219. The arch and other lancet windows were made in the 13th century, while the tower and restorations were done in the 15th century. The Church also has interesting decorations and the very rare royal coat of arms of King James II dated in 1688.

Though the building of this Church is more than 800 years old already, they also have flexible spaces, a heating system that is modernized, and refreshment and toilet areas. In addition, the Church always extends a warm welcome to church-goers.
