About Ashby-de-la-Zouch

This is a civil parish and a market town in North West parts of Leicestershire, England. It’s just near Staffordshire and Derbyshire borders. The town is known for its ribbon manufacturing, brickmaking, and coal mining. So, without further ado, here are the places to be when in town.

Ashby-de-la-Zouch Castle. This castle is known for its honey-colored stone and is now a sad ruin that has a shaky past. In the 17th century, the Royalist forces were there through the Parliamentarian troops for more than a year. Their stay there caused the majority of destruction that can be seen today. However, despite being ruined, the visitors are still eager to see the top part of the ruined tower. It still has those impressive views across the countryside and nearby town.
Charnwood Forest Alpacas. This forest is located in the Boundary. It is a hamlet situated on the Derbyshire and Leicestershire border on the borders of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. This is a 110-acre farm and is one of the largest and original alpaca farms. This is the first one opened to the public in the United Kingdom. The farm is so passionate about sharing the best personalities of all the animals at the farm, not only Alpacas.

Conkers. This is going to be an ideal place to spend the day with your family. This forest sets on more than 48 hectares of woodland area, where the center offers very nice attractions to visitors and locals. The place has a simulated treetop walk, interactive children’s exhibits, and indoor water play areas.

They also have an assault course and hand and laser clay pigeon shooting. And if the weather favors, the barefoot walk through the forest is a must-try. You’ll get to experience a relaxing experience with nature. This is a great place to visit, especially for those who like outdoor adventures.
