    About Aldridge

This is a town and a former civil parish located in the Walsall borough. The city is famous for the American stage actor Ira Frederick Aldridge, who later became a British stage actor who made his career right after 1824. He is famous because of his Shakespearean roles. Here are some of the places found in Aldridge.

Aston Manor Road Transport Museum. This famous museum in Aldridge is known for its featured trucks, buses, and tramcars of the past. It also has lots of displays about transport history, as well as related artifacts. There is also an ice-cream truck, which kids would find interesting. It will be a great place for families with kids to visit since the museum is educational. In addition, there is also a small shop with books and models.
Bourne Pool and Waterside Walk. This will be a place to be for people who like going outdoors and experiencing mother nature. It’s such a beautiful woodland that comes with a fairy trail for children. The garden center is fabulous as people can have a magical walk in the lovely garden. There is also a café that was nicely done to take a break. Visitors may also stroll around the lake while feeding the fish and ducks, truly a place where anyone can take a break.

Aldridge Transport Museum. This museum has a lovely bit of history to tell. Visitors can enjoy the displays and exhibits. People who are particularly concerned about public transport will like this little gem. All the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and will tell you everything they know about the museum since they had a passion for it. Furthermore, there is a host of learning projects that is why it was known that few of the schools in town had visited this museum.
