    Hednesford is a historic market town within Cannock Chase district of Staffordshire, England. The town adjoins The Chase to the north with the town of Cannock 1.2 miles to the south and is 4.6 miles southwest of Rugeley. Hednesford was a coal mining community for over a century. Today, the town commemorates its history with a Miner’s Lamp at the town centre.     The Museum of Cannock Chase is situated on Valley Road, in Hednesford Hills Local Nature Reserve. The museum displays artefacts that tell the story of the town during its coal mining days and WWI role. It also showcases its famous local citizens, social history, domestic life, and wildlife.     Hednesford Hills Local Nature Reserve

    Hednesford Hills Local Nature Reserve is a site of special scientific interest situated on Valley Road, Hednesford, just off A460. It is a nationally important example of a lowland heathland site made up of diverse heathland mixed with acid grassland. The nature reserve is a great place to explore. Parking is located at the Museum of Cannock Chase.
