        About Eastwood

        Eastwood is a former coal mining town in the Broxtow district of Nottinghamshire, England. It is 8 miles northwest of Nottingham and 10 miles of Derby. The town’s name is a hybrid place-name which means eastern clearing, formed the Old English word Est for East and an Old Norse term that translates to “meadow” or “cleared meadow” or “clearing in the woods”.

        Coronation Park and Skatepark

        Coronation Park and Skatepark is located at 71 Plumptre Way, Eastwood. It is the largest park in the north of Broxtow with a major recreational facilities including an exciting adventure play area, a mini football pitch, a bowling green, two play areas, a skate park, a kickabout/ basketball court and a space dedicated for younger children. The park has been designated as a Queen Elizabeth II playing field.
