    About Rushden

The town of Rushden is known for its boot and shoe factories in the mid-1900s. Today, there are only four shoe making companies left in town. It’s also known for Sanders and Sanders, which makes the boots of the British Army and other defence departments in the world.

Rushden Hall Park. This is by far the largest Park in Rushden because of its 13-hectare site. It boasts its green parks and open space, as more than 40 parks and open spaces would offer something to everyone. The Park has been open to the public since 1931 and was owned by some wealthy families. Since then, it has been known as a well-kept, quiet, and pleasant park worth visiting.

Rushden Lakes Shopping Centre. This is a shopping destination like no other. It’s where big brand fashion meets the lakeside cafes and restaurants. The boardwalks have a visitor centre that comes with useful information. So everyone could enjoy their walk around the lake while watching the lovely swans.
Rushden Transport Museum & Railway. The railway comes with a wide range of runs and rolling stocks that are open on days. They have more than half a mile of track, and there is a scope for variety. The museum is located in the Old Midland Railway Station, which was once part of the Wellingborough to Higham Ferrers branch line.

Visiting this place, you would see volunteers' hard work and dedication to get this Heritage Museum going, especially in welcoming visitors. The place brings part of the history, that’s why it’s worth visiting.

Rushden War Memorial. The Rushden’s war memorial remains standing in the Memorial Garden opposite St. Mary’s church. There was an extensive restoration of the War Memorial and the gardens to make it look lovely. The flowers look very nice and lively. The structure is large, and the people who sacrificed their lives to make our lives better.
