As far as most people are concerned finding a leak is a simple process of finding where the water is coming through your floor, walls or ceiling and drilling a hole there or dig up that entire area to sort out the central heating leak. The problem with this view of leak detection is that it’s based on how natural gas leak detection was done maybe 50 or 60 years ago and completely ignore the fact that water flows and it very rarely flows directly from the point of a leak to the outside world.
A perfect example of this would be a leak in your attic water pipes. Now you might assume that the leak is directly behind the trickle of water coming through your ceiling but you’re not taking into account the fact that water can quite easily flow along the outside of a pipe then gather in a corner and start coming through your ceiling. So even though the water is leaking down in the corner of your sitting room the leak itself is located 3 or 4 feet away or maybe even in another room.
So when ADI perform a non-invasive leak detection investigation our engineers use some pretty advanced technology to find the source of your leak. This means that we’ve already found the exact location of your leak to within 5 centimeters before we do anything else and certainly before we’d even consider doing anything to fix the leak.
From a customers perspective this means that you can rest safe in the knowledge that your home or business will remain unharmed while we’re working and that we’ll leave it in the same condition as we found it before we ever started our leak detection investigation.
At ADI we’re very proud of the fact that we can offer some a precise and non-destructive way of finding the source of any leaks you might have in your home.
