As we are on the cusp of entering the second national lockdown this year in the face of Covid-19, we wanted to let you know how this affects us and our business operations as a Leak Detection company.
In previous blogs we have discussed how our services have played an essential part in aiding the nation to maintain the new guidelines outlined by the government to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
Locating leaks on water mains and central heating systems is crucial to us all being to stay at home, in a safe and warm environment with fully functioning heating and clean water supplies.
So for ADI business has pretty much stayed open for business as usual, keeping our engineers and clients safe.
The most recent guidelines released by the Government on Sunday 1st November state the following:
- Stay at home
This means you must not leave or be outside of your home except for specific purposes. These include:
- for childcare or education, where this is not provided online
- for work purposes, where your place of work remains open and where you cannot work from home (including if your job involves working in other people’s homes)
- Going to work
To help contain the virus, everyone who can work effectively from home must do so. Where people cannot do so (for instance people who work in critical national infrastructure, construction or manufacturing) they should continue to travel to work/attend their workplace. This is essential to keeping the country operating and supporting vital sectors and employers.
The service we provide is rather niche, however broadly speaking it is categorised as part of the construction industry.
We will therefore be doing everything we can to continue to operate our services as usual. While you’re at home – now might just be the perfect time to get that pesky leak seen to!
We would like to take this opportunity to remind you to get your pipework ready for winter.
If you do book in for a Leak Detection during this period, you can rest assured that our engineers will be maintaining social distancing guidelines and wearing face coverings at all times whilst inside your premises.
We kindly ask that in return, you allow them the space they need to carry out their work at a safe distance from you… and please don’t be offended if they refuse your offer for tea or coffee!
If you require any further details on the special measures we have implemented, or if you would like to talk to us about your leak, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0800 731 3843. Our staff are still available and willing to help with anything you need.
We are sending out best wishes to all our customers and anyone else who may be reading this, take care of yourselves and your loved ones – we hope you all stay warm, safe and well.
With kindest regards,
From The Team @ ADI Leak Detection
