About Burscough

Burscough is located in the northern part of Ormskirk, West Lancashire. It is a village that is the home to Hamlet of Talscough & Burscough wharf. The Liverpool and Leeds canal passes through this village along with other railway lines.

The village has extensive farms. The area has a rich agricultural history. It has farmed land, and it offers the highest rate of farm employments in the entire county. Thus, you can check out its farms, get custom guides to the various agricultural developments in the area and see the animal kept by the village farmers.

If you want more history, you should head to Burscough Parish church. This is one of the churches that were founded as a thanksgiving when Napoleon was finally defeated in 1815. In addition, you can enjoy family activities at the Martin Mere. There is the reserve run by the Wildfowl and Wetland trust. It is marked as a site of scientific interest and still the main attraction for many people from North West England.

There is also the Windmill Animal Farm. This farm offers visitors a chance to touch the animals, feed them, and watch them as they eat and play.
