Milnrow has a fascinating history that goes back to Norman Conquest. It is also famous for the ancient wool and weaving in the traditional market of the region. The streets are packed with various shops, restaurants, and take-aways that reflect the past and future of the town. If you follow the Kiln lane, you are led to the Milnrow golf course on the moors' high edge. The M62 is also r close by, offering a fascinating view. On the lower edges of the town, you will find a beautiful spot known as Hollingworth Lake. It is a perfect spot for walking, and you can also camp in the woods. There is a sanctuary for wild birds past the lake, and sail-bots and canes from the lake are adjacent to the walk paths around the lake. For park lovers, enjoy Lancaster Park & Animal Farm, where you will find various species of animals and exotic trees in the area. Don't forget to by the Rochdale Pioneers Museum when you want to learn a rich history. You will get along the town using buses and light rail transport.
