        About Cookham

        The village of Cookham is situated in the north-eastern part of Berkshire. This village boasts some superb restaurants and inns and is one of the most popular Thames-side resorts in Berkshire.

        The Stanley Spencer Gallery. The Stanley Spencer Gallery is a gallery to commemorate the life and works of the legendary man Stanley Spencer. This art museum was opened in 1962 and is situated on the historic Thameside Village in Cookham, Berkshire. Various exhibits and displays from his life and works are being shown. Wide variety of paintings, and the atmosphere around the area is quite quirky.

        Winter Hill Golf Club. The winter hill golf club is a nice and fabulous club to enjoy golfing. They have a café inside which offers a fine variety of diverse cuisines, and the wide selection of beers isn’t to be missed. It has some scenic views around the area as well as wildlife too.
        Cliveden House. The Cliveden House is a luxurious and elegant 5-star country house hotel situated North of Cookham in Maidenhead. This sprawling mansion was built during the late 16th century and has been preserved and remodeled over the years to commemorate this architectural marvel.         Cock Marsh. The Cock Marsh is a large grassland with plenty of nice and magnificent walking paths and trail sites. It covers 150-acre of pristine and untouched land, and as you walk along, you get to encounter some wildlife. The National Trust currently manages it, and here, you get to experience a diverse set of grasslands from cock marshland, calcareous grassland, and acidic grassland on clay.

        Widbrook Common. The Widbrook common situated on the southern part of Cookham is a nice and tranquil place to visit. In this area, you can encounter wildlife activities such as birdwatching, fishing, and even boating. It has one of the finest views in Cookham, and the atmosphere around this area will spark serenity.
